Reuben Irving on Digital Film: Creative Concepts
Reuben, the author of the OCA’s film course was in the OCA office recently so we took the opportunity to ask him about it. Apologies for the noise in the background.

Gareth …… enjoyed watching this. This short ‘Q&A / interview’ type video gave me a far better appreciation of what this course is about than ages of reading course description texts would have given. I think you should (through time) have this type of video for all OCA courses.
I am occasionally asked what the OCA Photography courses are about and I try my best to explain without going into reams of typing (e.g. the second post on this page ….. http://www.inspiring-photography.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19671&page=2 ). How much better to be able to just point to a video such as this. Good marketing as well as a clear & informative message.

Thanks Dave. We are planning to have video aarround all of our courses eventually. This will be of two types:
- what the course is about – like the interview with Reuben – as you say this is essentially marketing
- tips, techniques and idea – pulled together as a series called ‘OCA Elements’, together with a range of PDFs, these will be short educational pieces designed for the general public and students designed to inspire and support their interest in developing their creativity and skills.
Lots to do!
Gareth
